Paige and Andy Weinstein are the husband‑and‑wife team behind Star Tires & Wheels and Star Tires Plus Wheels, a family business built on trust, experience, and genuine care for the communities they serve.
Andy founded the company in 1984, inspired by a childhood spent in New Haven and Orange among generations of family entrepreneurs. Paige joined him in 1994, bringing a customer‑first approach shaped by her corporate background and her upbringing in the greater Hartford community, where her family once owned the beloved Scharr Pharmacy on Albany Avenue.
Their 2014 expansion into Hartford was especially meaningful for Paige—an opportunity to return to the community she grew up in and honor her family’s legacy by revitalizing a long‑established local tire shop. Together, they united two formerly competing family businesses under one name and strengthened their commitment to serving customers with honesty, expertise, and a welcoming atmosphere.
